The Vacation Bible School (VBS) staff is excited to present this year’s theme: Digging for Treasure: Parables Revealed.  In this study, students will learn what parables are and how Jesus used common objects and concepts to point toward a deeper meaning.  He spoke to believers as well as nonbelievers about ‘the secrets of the kingdom of heaven.’ Children will learn the Sower of the Seeds parable; and how important it is to have a good foundation.  Youth will discover how much God loves them in the Lost Sheep parable.
There will be classes for adults.  The men’s class will be an extension of the Men’s Fraternity that meets every Saturday morning at 7:00am.  Join them for some brotherly Christian conversation about God’s Word.  In the past, ladies that attended the women’s class left excited and revived.  This year will be no different.  Mrs. Jacquie Jemison is preparing a dynamic, interactive class where women will receive God’s Word as well as door prizes.
The 3rd Annual Family Day Extravaganza will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 11:00 – 2:00pm.  This event we feature carnival games, Extreme Petting Zoo, peddle go karts, moonbounces, food, Kona Ice Sno-Cone truck, and live entertainment from Adam and Kizzie and the New Zeal Mime Ministry of New Hope Baptist Church, OKC.
