Operation Truth Boot Camp

Operation Truth Boot Camp is a Christian camp for young people ages 5 through 18.  The boot camp occurs for two (2) weeks each year during the month of June.  The Operation Truth Boot Camp Ministry seeks to encourage our youth and let them know that they have purpose.  We do this through intervention and prevention and we have seen great results!

With the help of our God and many devoted staff members the ministry has grown and we have seen our youth benefit spiritually, and develop individually as well as collectively. 

We offer rap sessions on topics such as

• Gang Violence
• Internet Predators
• Peer Pressure
• STD’s
• Drug Abuse

These rap session topics are presented with consideration for the younger group and with parent’s permission because some of the information is graphic.  In Addition, we take our children on field trips to the prisons and other locations for a reality check (ages 12-18).  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma City Police Dept and volunteers work with the children also.  The OHP teach the cadets drill movements, share helpful life changing information, they set up a display in the parking lot which consist of helicopters, bomb squad and drug dogs, etc.  Under close supervision and parents permission the children are allowed to witness a real court setting with Judge Kenneth Watson, lawyers, and criminals.

Our mission through Operation Truth Boot Camp Ministry is to let our children know that they are important, and their lives have purpose.  It is essential that we let them know that they are our future and that education is the key.  Our mission is to give back to our children the way our parents, educators, and community leaders did us.  As a result, everyone will reap the benefits of passing it on to the next generation.  Then and only then can we say with confidence, Mission Accomplished!  “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6.

Our goal is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ, discourage negative behavior before it became a reality in the lives of our youth, reinforce the positive by encouraging unity and self respect, as well as respect for our fellowman, and a healthy sense of pride and confidence.

Operation – The supervising, monitoring, and coordinating of the activities of a military or civilian organization, Truth - GOD, Boot Camp – Training session or course.  An Operation Truth Boot Camp Cadet is one who has been accepted as a member of Operation Truth Boot Camp through application, tuition payment, physical exam clearance, ages 5yrs through 18yrs.
